I’m honored you’re here. I’ve been investing in real estate for nearly four decades and there is nothing I’d rather do than hand what I’ve learned to the next person ready to build something of their own.

It started by accident. At 21, I landed a summer internship at a local real estate investment firm - I was currently in college and had been planning to become an attorney. But I absorbed everything I could that summer and by the end of it, I knew. I jumped forward and never looked back.

Three years later, the firm’s partners went their separate ways and the company dissolved. Both offered me a job. At the time, my wife and I were newly married and expecting our first child, so the “safe” move was obvious - accept a position with one of the partners, receive a steady paycheck, and job security. But something inside me knew that I could do this on my own. So I did.

On March 9, 1988, at 24 years old, I bought my very first investment property. I barely had enough for the earnest money deposit, but I found a way to make it work. I didn’t know anything about property insurance, contracts, financing, or contractor vetting. I learned the hard way - but I learned.

Since then, my family has been a part of thousands of single and multifamily transactions across North Texas. The business has grown beyond anything my 21 year old self could have ever pictured. Our reputation in the industry is something we protect fiercely.
